The market and 'high frequency road' continue to be a very popular play activity. This week we talked about the money in New Zealand as we attempted to add different items from the market. The children even made their own coins out of paper.
Our big book this week was called "Letter Fight." On Friday we re-enacted the story and the children made a few words by shifting the 'letter' actors.
Some things like glad wrap, plastic bottles and bubble wrap did not belong in the ocean. |
The children quickly spotted trapped fish in a bubble wrap. |
Introducing new words. |
Keira on a mission to sort out the letters. |
After a fight, the letters fell asleep 'reading' SLAP. |
After they got up, and with Keira's help, they got up as PALS. |

High Frequency Road. Park your car and read the word. |
What a great class activity. It is really important that our kids understand the impacts from plastic use and what alternative measures we can take to reduce our carbon footprint as well.
