Humpty Dumpty then and now

School life can be so busy with so much to do. Integrating learning across all subjects is the way to go. To enhance our learning about the past and continuity, we studied the old nursery rhyme: Humpty Dumpty. Integrating reading, writing, drama, art and health  was our focus. Last week we learned the old rhyme and a new, made up version. We've been practicing our drama skills while learning new words. This week we interacted the new Humpty Dumpty version by cracking a real egg and scrambling it. Writing about something we all just did was fun. We also engaged in critical thinking through answering questions about the safety of this famous egg!

Baby in Room 3

We were waiting for Arithraa's new sister to come and visit us for a few weeks. Today we've had a very special visit from Arithraa's parents and grandma who brought Arithraa's six weeks old sister. We absolutely loved her. She slept right through our excitement.  This is what the children said:
Levi: "She smells beautiful. She's so tired and so so hungry. That's what babies do."
Arithraa:"My baby can scream so loud.

My mum gives her milk."
Christine:"She's so cute."
Chloe:"She's little."
Ayesha:" She's so cute. "
Diya:"She's so small."
Leah:"She has a car seat."
Zara:"She's so tiny."

Book Parade

Annual Book Parade took place last Friday. Arithraa was Emily from Mr Pusskins and the children that forgot their costume got a cat face on and became the Pesky Cat Gang from our story of the week.

We are ready!
