Learning About Planets During the Reading Session

 The students in Kea group were learning about the Solar System. They researched all of the planets and looked up the word dwarf in the biggest dictionaries we have in the class. 

Literacy Session

Today the students checked each other's recounts by highlighting the important features like the title, capitalization, adjectives and feelings.  We also had our first reading show, where the children had to purchase the tickets and learn to be a respectful audience. The readers were practicing the school value of CONFIDENCE.

 

 

Planets Expert

 We've started learning about the space and discovered that one of the students is highly interested.  He illustrated in his own way what he knows about the Solar System.  Ka Pai!
