Sharing Tongan Culture

In term 1 we are learning about the Pacific Islands. We're so lucky, in Room 3, to have families that are able to share their own cultures with us. Today, Cordelia's Mum came to our class and talked to us about the Tongan culture. She showed us many traditional Tongan kiekie. These garments are worn to wedding, funerals  birthdays and special occasions. We were able to see so many of them and learn how they are made. To finish our Tongan guest sang a beautiful song in soprano. We are so grateful!
