Be Responsible-The Magic Potion

This week we were learning about capacity and volume. While we were talking about full and half-full measure, we came across some magic potions. Because we talked about what is responsible prior, the potion we made by mixing red and blue colours ended up being called "Be Responsible Potion." Will, our 'magician' cast the spell and the children carefully passed the potion around the circle. "Hocus, Pocus, make the children in Room 3 responsible" said Wil.

This week in Room 3 we've experimented with the sound waves by exploring the musical instruments, our voices and making a simple telephone.

Calendar Art

This week we've been busy finishing our Calendar Art called "The Sea of Love." We used a sgraffito painting technique, as well as finger stamping and drawing. The children loved this experience. The artwork is ready to be turned into calendars $10, set of cards $10, diaries $10, mouse pads $12 or sketch pads $10. They make wonderful gifts for your family and friends for Christmas or any occasion. Many parents viewed the art this afternoon, but you're welcome to have a look next week. The orders must in by 2nd of November, next Friday.

Back to School

Welcome to Week 1 of Term 4. This week provided many authentic learning experiences for the children, such as school-wide athletics, calendar art, hands on measuring activities and reading under shady trees with our buddy class.
